Enjoy The Dance

Listening to the sound of waves gently crashing along the shore has always been among my favorite things......makes me think that if peace was sound it would sound like this.

I sit, listening and watching as sand is deposited and washed away each time a wave makes contact with the shore.

I imagine that what I am witnessing is a beautifully choreographed dance in which the waves, sand, and shoreline take pride in performing for their Creator.

Then I thought…what would happen if the dance was disrupted? If the sand deposits refused to wash away or the water held itself back?

Sometimes there are things intended only to be a part of our lives for a moment, but we allow them to become permanent deposits.

They become security blankets we use to build a fragile fort of protection around ourselves not realizing the strength of its walls are only imagined.

Let what was destined to be washed away in your life, be washed away. Peace comes with knowing that life's dance is perfectly choreographed by our Father.

He doesn't need us to modify any part of it. We only need to follow His choreography as if our lives depend on every step......... and trust that we reflect the glory of God when the performance ends.

In you, Lord my God, I put my trust. I trust in you; do not let me be put to shame, nor let my enemies triumph over me. No one who hopes in you will ever be put to shame, but shame will come on those who are treacherous without cause. Show me your ways, Lord , teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.
