Consumed by the Son

I speak often about the Human condition in my writings and conversations. My choice of words are most times strategic (I usually find this out after the fact) reflections or interpretations of things that I believe have been inspired by Holy Spirit.

The human condition has been most prevelent and spotlighted to me most often in the past few weeks.

There are many books, videos, etc. on the subject but for the sake of this post I've written based on its definition. The human condition is defined as "The characteristics, key events and situations which compose the essentials of human existence”.

This morning the question crossed my mind, Exactly how much of myself am I willing to give to God? How much of my human condition am I ready to surrender over to him? Of course the answer that immediately popped into my mind was a resounding ALL! But all? All requires blind faith and trust. All requires complete surrender to someone I can not see. All requires ALL.

After being in deep thought about this for a while, my conclusion is this. Even if God never does another thing in my life, It is absolutely worth it to commit to serve him completely. My desire to serve him isn't based on what he can and will do for me, but is because he is. I want to live completely and utterly consumed by him... his thoughts....his heart.

Have you thought about it? How much of you are you willing to give to God?

Are you willing to boldly say, Lord if you never do another thing for me, I will live for you! Has he consumed your heart and mind past the point of no return?

The bible is a treasure trove full of reasons why it's the best decision you could ever make.

Take a little time each day this week to think about how your life would change for the better if you made the decision to completely surrender it to God. Then do it!
