The Mirror

Throughout life I've noticed how difficult it is to look at oneself in the mirror.

My mother who is an accomplished interior decorator,  always made sure they were all over her home.  She said they expanded spaces and brought more depth to wherever they were placed.  Being someone who struggled with self esteem issues most of my life, I agreed.  They certainly highlighted ALL of my flaws  to the point that after standing in front one for 10 seconds, I would turn away totally disgusted with who I was.

After a while, I would forget all about the mirror and happily continue whatever activities I was involved in previously.

But, the mirror would always be waiting to condemn me upon my return.

God reminded me this morning that sometimes when we evaluate ourselves what we see, isn't always pretty.

Sometimes there are things in our lives He is showing us and prompting us to deal with in order for us to walk in freedom and live in His peace.

He has proven to us that he makes all things new, but it requires us to surrender ourselves to him.

The Father loves us with an everlasting love. Jeremiah 31:3.

There is no need to live in condemnation, HE loves us!

FREEDOM in Him is available and waiting, so face the mirrors in your life with him and watch him make freedom your reflection.

Today's scripture:  The Lord appeared to us in the past saying: "I have love you with an everlasting love, I have drawn you with unfailingly kindness.

Jeremiah 31:3
