It’s Going To Get Worse Before It Gets Better
It's going to get worse before it gets better"
So there was a season that I was ordained (that word choice will be explained a bit later) to walked through. And as the Father walked with me, I would ask Him..."Is that the worst?" He would reply.."It's going to get worse before it gets better." I would brace myself for what was to come always knowing that if the Father was there with me..I would not die...
What I thought had to be the "worst" would then come..I would ask again.."God Is this the worst?" He would quietly reply.."It's going to get worse before it gets better."
Fear tried to grip me.."How could it possibly get worse Father?!" But again He would reply.."It's going to get worse before it gets better."
This happened many times as I walked with Him down a path I never could've walked alone..and along that path, even when at times I thought surely death would come and steal my soul away..and it would get worse.....the only thing that kept me alive was the constant presence of the Father...walking that path along side me. He would prepare me to face the worst as best a human could, then He would carry me the rest of the way.
Finally, when I had no more strength but was preparing to ask and brace again....I heard Him say.."Now, it will get better."
If I had not walked the path I was ordained to walk, and would have given up at the first mention of "It's going to get worse before it gets better", I would have never been able to share this with you tonight.
God never promised us that on our journeys we wouldn't face "the worst".
He never said that if you were good and said good things, knew your bible, and was raised in church your whole life, that you wouldn't face or walk through "the worst". What He did say is ..He would be there with us always.
Dear friends...we are currently living in a time in this country were It is going to get worse before it gets better.
One of my favorite quotes that has always proven true is this...
Change does not occur unless the pains of staying the same is greater than the pains of change...
There is no need to fear the worse if you know the Father well...the question that you must ask yourself when the time comes and the journey begins, will you be able to tough it out and complete the journey to see when the worse gets better.
