Be Still

Life is all consuming and challenging some days……sometimes I just forget to be still.

I am not sure if it is just a symptom of being born first of six siblings and feelings of "first-born" responsibility or if it's just an extension of ministry life, but putting aside time to be still has not always been priority.

We can get so caught up in things, cares, worries, that we forget to be still in the place where the Father has prepared to minster to us.

So I've set out to be still when self wants to analyze, problem solve, and secure outcomes. I have set out to listen to that still small voice because I trust His intentions for me.

The sunset you see above will be in my memory forever. Suddenly Ecclesiastes 3:11 invaded my mind and heart and I understood completely.

He has made everything beautiful in its time. He has also set eternity in the human heart; yet no one can fathom what God has done from beginning to end.

~ Ecclesiastes 3:11 NIV ~

In that moment...at that very second, I was exactly where I was supposed to be. That moment was a fulfillment of prayers prayed and answered, in that moment I saw the reward for being still.

Let God reveal himself to you as you be still.

Selah,

Rashena
