Like A Chicken With Its Head Cut Off

Striving, running from place to place, jumping from thing to thing, running blindly into your "next"...with no direction.  This is how I imagine the title of this blog would be defined.

You see, God does not author confusion but we justify our chaos and label it  "seasons" because  we can not come to terms with the fact that we are simply disobedient followers of Christ.

Our "season"  could  very well be the results of disobedience justified.

Once we lay bare our hearts and minds and realize that in our own strength our cycles continue to be cycles, freedom will not come.

Freedom cannot simultaneously dwell with bondage.  There ia a breaking that happens, that needs to happen...before freedom can occur.

The key to recognizing the difference between a season and the results of disobedience is this....humility.

Humbling ourselves before the God of the universe is needed.  Not before your friend who has a relationship with God, or the Pastor who has a relationship with God, or your family member who has a relationship with God, but......YOU alone...laying your heart bare...go to Him.

I am reminded of the woman with the issue of blood...in the bible..(Mark 5:25-34) She had done all she could to be rid of the issue she could not get freedom from..all the natural remedies She did everything in her power...(the key words being in HER power) that she could to be made well but her issue only  worsened.

She had to turn over her human conditioned mindset to believe that Jesus could hear her.

My personal  perception of her approach....because our human condition promotes humility on our own terms...is that she couldn't completely be transparent at that moment and go to ask Jesus for her healing.

Her pride may have played a part in her coming up behind Him and touching the hem of His garment prompting Jesus to ask a question He already knew the answer to.

She was forced out of the crowd to respond.

Jesus required and received complete humility from her.

Dear ones...my prayer is that we not only learn from our seasons...but that we also learn to distinguish our seasons from the results of disobedience.

It will grow us immensely!

Selah,

Rashena
