A Double Minded Man is Unstable in all His Ways

A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

This morning, and for a while I've been hearing this loudly in my spirit.

I am sharing so that we all would consider taking a moment to remind ourselves and be encouraged knowing in whom our faith lies and seek the wisdom that the Father gives us, to do so.

Wisdom.

I've always liked the word wisdom. It seems to carry with it this solitude, strength, and correctness in my mind's eye (As you can tell, my imagination is quite interesting). It has always been to me, one of the most precious attributes of the Father. I am careful to be aware of, and treasure His allowances of it in my life.

God's wisdom is a necessity in everything we put our hands to, in every relationship we nuture, in every connection we make, in every business venture, to navigate through this believer's life. I am sure we can all agree that we need His help and guidance on all our journeys.

Our faith is a key to how we attain His help.

James 1:5 - 8 says If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed. For let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord. A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.

~James 1:5‭-‬8 KJV~

When we ask for wisdom receive it by faith, fellowship with the Father without our own agendas, He is ALWAYS faithful to clear and direct our paths in the way He desires to lead us.

Here are some questions we should ask ourselves:

Am I seeking and waiting in faith for God to bestow His wisdom on me?

Am I in a place where I can hear Him past my human condition?

Am I letting others dictate how I listen to his voice?

Show me your ways, Lord , teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long.

~Psalms 25:4‭-‬5 NIV~

May our focus always be on Him.
