Tides of Change

There is a change of tides coming....

I heard this last year around December of 2020 during a prayer quiet time. The emphasis was on the word "change".

We have often heard it said that "the tides are turning or the turning of tides" is happening. In relation to this saying, change of tides and turn of tides often is attributed to the same thing and can become the same thing if we are not careful.

The difference is in the revelation of the definition of each word.

To turn is defined as moving in a circular postion, to move in a different direction.

Change is defined as to make different, to replace.
Turn can always be defined as change, but changing can not always be defined by turning.

This season is calling for tidal change. It is no longer a place for turning but it is time for a complete replacement of things, issues, fears....change. There is no time for the turn cycle that ends where it began only to start again. Now is the time for a complete replacement, to make different. Change. Change gives me a bit of anxiety when it's happening, but I know that I can not grow if change doesn't occur. There is a saying...change doesn't occur unless the pain of staying the same becomes greater than the pain of change.

Change is necessary to thrive. So as the tides change, hang on for the ride. It most definitely will produce the growth needed on the journey to our destiny.
